EPB Fiber Optics (EPB) is seeking proposals from qualified electrical contractors to provide full turnkey services for converting approximately two (2) miles of overhead electric power lines to underground infrastructure. The selected contractor will be responsible for managing and scheduling all work, coordinating flagging operations, maintaining active 1-call notifications, and working closely with EPB on material pulls, customer outages, and conflict resolution. This project is supported by a Department of Energy GRIP grant, and all labor must comply with Davis-Bacon wage requirements. The goal is to enhance grid resilience and reliability through strategic undergrounding efforts.

The Contractor shall provide all materials (excluding EV chargers and pedestals supplied by EPB unless otherwise stated) and perform secondary excavation, conduit installation, backfill, and installation of meter panels, disconnects, and breaker panels per site specifications. Responsibilities include pouring concrete pads if required, installing EPB-supplied chargers and mounting hardware, and restoring affected areas to pre-construction condition, excluding final site landscaping, which is the customer’s responsibility.

EPB Fiber Optics (EPB) is seeking proposals for the lease or rental of up to five white AWD or 4WD compact or subcompact pickup trucks—such as the Ford Maverick, Ranger, Nissan Frontier, or equivalent—for an initial term of one year with four optional annual renewals. Vehicles must feature extended or crew cabs and meet specific availability and delivery expectations. Vendor responses should include a detailed cost breakdown, responsibilities for maintenance and repairs, insurance requirements, reporting and fleet tracking options, early termination provisions, and customer support infrastructure. Clear documentation on cost adjustment policies and issue resolution procedures is also expected.

EPB Fiber Optics (EPB) seeks to standardize the equipment deployed at the customer premise to provide service to its ethernet network. To this end, we are publishing this Request for Proposals from interested parties. The end goal of this RFP is to establish a standardized set of CPE devices EPB may deploy across all products offered on our ethernet network. EPB currently offers downstream (UNI) ports of 1G, 2.5G, 10G, 25G, 40G, 100G and 400G with upstream (NNI) ports of 10G, 100G and 400G. Service may be subscribed to at 30M, 50M, 100M, 300M, 500M, 1G, 2.5G, 10G, 25G, 40G, 100G, and 400G at this time.

EPB Fiber Optics (EPB) is seeking bids from qualified suppliers to offer 12kV Submersible Network Transformers (120/208V) designed for use with network protectors and equipped with 200-amp bushings. We are also requesting 12kV Submersible SPOT Network Transformers with secondary voltages of 120/208V and 277/480V to support various utility distribution applications. All proposed units must meet applicable industry standards for safety, reliability, and performance in underground network systems.
